I M Perfect lady

When our hearts understand.

As I cleaned my living room in preparation for some new to us furniture; I was very cognizant of what I do have in my home. What I am able to not only hang on – but what I love and what brings me good energy.

This was a quick shot of my girls laughing together. I LOVE this picture.

It is not so much the composition or the frame or the color etc – but the girls in the picture and the joy they have with each other. And, the free and easy connection I have with each of them. My heart is happy with this art.

And I have an artful basket of rocks.  Omars and Yooperlites – rocks my granddaughter and I have gathered as we walked along the shoreline.

So, I have come to the conclusion that we are connected not only to the art; but the story and memory and relationship we have with the artist behind the art.

I am not so much in my Art; but I am with my art.

I am connected to it.

We are not separated.

As I looked around my house, there is joy everywhere. And warm hearted connections to art and the artist behind the art. To gifts and the givers of the gifts.

We travel along with our art.

Our energy flows in and around what we give, what we do and into each relationship.

As Dr. Jill Bolte-Taylor said, "You are responsible for the energy you bring in the room."

I would add, and responsible for what you bring into your home.

I love this latest lesson in art and what I choose to have in my home.

Removing the art that carries with it, bad energies will lighten my home in many ways.

And, make room for things that make my heart sing.

We let go – when our heart understands.

How true! I have had to put away items and photos that remind me of people who don’t bring good thoughts to my mind. Life gives us enough to handle each day without reminders of those who hurt us. I love your posts. You are real. You understand and help us to feel a fellowship as we trudge through life. Or dance through.. depending on the day…

Thanks Judy, perhaps it is as we get older we get bolder and do what pleases our souls. We no longer care to pretend otherwise. And it does feel good to let go and clear out. Our home is our sanctuary and it should be full of what we love and makes our hearts happy.
Yes we dance or we trudge; but we keep moving forward.

I so agree with what you have written. When I moved, I let go of stuff that was just that and I let go of some of my framed art that I didn’t feel any attachment to or just felt I needed room for new art. So many pieces of art that I have purchased have a peaceful connection, realistic art that I do not create but that touches my inner feelings of beautiful scenes of nature. Some of my art hangs on my walls and other art felt pieces are like yours, rocks, flowers and plants I grow inside, photos of my loved ones. The old refrigerator covered with pictures of my children and my grandchildren, family and friends. Taking photographs of my grandchildren has provided me with endless joy and memories, especially now as they are growing up (2 teenagers now) and spending their lives more with their friends and social/sports activities. I will be learning how to hand-color black and white photographs this year and that will bring more memories for me and them. Love you Beth, Joanie

Thanks for your thoughts Joan and sharing. I agree our taste does change and what brings us joy – and it is okay to pass art along. And, yes I too have lots of photographs in our house. The more we get rid of the more I can see what I truly want.
And, it feels good to let go.
    I love you too.
