I M Perfect lady

Into the World!

Burning the midnight oil on Independence Day, trying to finish up all the last minute details; tomorrow I hang my Story Line Quilts for the Strawberry Festival.

It is a nice coincidence that it happens to be Independence Day, a day of freedom.

I am a bit nervous as I will be exposing my Self and my journey and opening myself up to the eyes of many.  A part of me feels excited that the quilts are leaving the basement and heading out on a journey…it feels right, it is time.

Many scenarios run through my mind and my stomach flips and then I remember I can't know how it all will go…this is our maiden voyage.

I have done my part…I have quilted each one by feelings and without worrying about where they would go or what they would do…and they all found each other in a line; my story line.

It feels like a completion and a new beginning…a milestone, a different direction.

My Lady and I are about to begin a new adventure; out of the basement and into the world!

Happy Fourth of July, 2012!

How EXCITING for the Story Line Quilts to come out of the basement and into the fresh and open air. To educate the community and bring awareness to the victims of sexual abuse that there is a way out.
I am so proud of you!

Thanks Carl. My Lady and I appreciate all the cheerleaders we had on the way! We will see how it goes. It is my hope that we can be used to show hope and find courage.
My belly flips worried about the haters and doubters, but my focus, as always, has to be on the ones who are wanting encouragement on their journey. My Lady will draw into her women who are seeking a new direction…and the ones who are not, will pass her by.
Just the usual jitters of doing something new for the first time.
It is good to hear your cheers.

Beth– the display is so amazing. I read through the descriptions on the quilts (did not get a chance to look at your fantastic hard cover book, though.) I have to tell you I had a lump in my throat. I tried to explain your journey to a young lady who did not know you and I could not speak–the lump in my throat was just too huge.
Yes, it takes tremendous courage to put your soul on display through your quilts. I believe the help you gave yourself in this process can be explained and taught to others. You are now beginning a new phase in our life.

Thanks Ann. You have been a great cheerleader and it certainly helps to know that there are many ladies who know my journey, understand it and are standing behind me.
I love that they are being shown the first time in a room full of quilts by friends I have known and have encouraged me to quilt. It is very appropriate.
It is scary to hang your truth…especially when so many are hiding theirs.
Thanks for understanding and getting it.
It will be very interesting to see how this all goes.
    Nervous and excited.
