Happy Birthday Carl

Because of you, I didn't walk alone.

Because of you, I was heard.

Because of you, I had fear, but said what I needed to say…fearlessly!

Because of you, I embraced my uniqueness.

Because of you, I stood taller, breathe deeper and dared do things beyond my experiences.

Because of you I do yoga.  

Because of you I read books on spirituality and consciousness and healing.

Because of you I am fearless in my art.

Because of you I know my back is always covered.

Because of you I know my past deeper, clearer and with compassion.

Because of you, I am Me…with free self expression and love.

Because you have given me love…just as I am.

Your journey, your strength and courage, your honesty and unflinching stare at our dysfunctional mind… inspires me!  

Because of you I dare be all of me!

 

"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing
and rightdoing there is a field.
I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass
the world is too full to talk about."

I believe we can now play in this field!

    Our journey has been very unique and inspiring on both ends and very delicate in the balance between knowing what to say and when, when to walk away and when to stay. We both came from dysfunction trying to function. Not knowing how to have an authentic relationship, not only with ourselves, but with each other. We have been each others awareness and willing to challenge the ego/voice of dysfunction with brutal kindness of honesty. And each time we had to be willing to lose each other in order to walk our own truth.
    A relationship that rose from the ashes of our past and because of our past….we knew like no one knew our story and pushed each other to move beyond it.
    I am beyond proud to have been privilege to walk this journey together!
    We have done what isn’t easy and in the end have gotten more than what we dared hope for.
    A true loving family with each other.
