It is hard to believe that WIND is 14 years old – it began as a collaborative effort between Dial Help – and myself. The idea was to have a group of women that would explore creative expressions – Women who were on different stages in the journey of life – Women In New Directions – Women helping women with life by doing creative and active things.

It is hard to encapsulate what WIND is – what it has been and how it has grown and the women who continue to enjoy these once a week meet ups.

The trails we have gone on – in all types of weather – and the confidence we have gained.

The creative things we have done – exploring our own talents.

We are such a fun bunch – finding new ways to pose.

Winter, Spring Summer and Fall – we play outside – nature has a healing energy as well as hanging out with fun ladies!

The early years…

Her and I brainstormed – our dream is still going on – and we have been separate from Dial Help for a long time. Now it is just us girls – finding new ways to have fun.

Bikes have added lots of fun to our worlds.

And kayaking – lots of paddles on the river and canal.

Weather doesn’t keep us home often – unless it is dangerous to drive.

Old friends – are friends again.

And many new friends I have made. So much fun together.

My life would not be the same – IF WIND didn’t happen.

Thank you girls for saying yes week after week, project after project.

I don’t know when WIND may end – but until then Let’s keep playing!
